Damian Callinan's Hall Stories returns to the Gannawarra

Renowned Australian comedian and actor Damian Callinan is bringing his

Hall Stories

tour back to the Gannawarra this October, with a performance focusing on the Leitchville Memorial Hall.

Following successful performances at Lake Charm and Murrabit last year, the creator of the hit Netflix film

The Merger

will celebrate the importance of Leitchville's major community gathering space during a performance on Wednesday, 14 October, from 6.30pm.

"It is fantastic to have Damian return to the Gannawarra, with his previous shows attracting capacity audiences at venues large and small throughout the municipality," Gannawarra Shire Council Chief Executive Officer, Geoff Rollinson said.

"Last year's

Hall Stories

performances at Lake Charm Hall and Murrabit Hall celebrated the important role these venues have played in their communities. The Leitchville performance will explore some of the unique and fascinating stories associated with the Leitchville Memorial Hall and the town more broadly."

Prior to the show, Damian will meet with local historians, community members and Leitchville Hall Committee representatives to gather stories, anecdotes and images that will feature in the performance.

"The Leitchville Memorial Hall Committee are gathering stories to enhance the night and are looking forward to the community gathering," the Leitchville Hall Committee said.

"Let's come together to celebrate our history, share a laugh, and make this a night to remember."

Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for concession card holders, with supper included after the show. Attendees are also welcome to bring their own nibbles and refreshments. Tickets can be purchased online at

www.trybooking.com/DNAAB

or from Council's Customer Service Centres in Cohuna and Kerang, and the Leitchville Post Office. Tickets will also be available at the door on the night of the performance by cash sales only.

Hall Stories

is one of 16 events taking place during October as part of Gannawarra Shire Council's Victorian Seniors Festival celebrations.
