From 3 August to 10 August 2026, Goulburn-Murray Water (GMW) will be completing essential works at Lake Eppalock that may impact water levels in the Campaspe River downstream of the lake.

During the works period, and for a short time afterwards while the river recovers, water levels may be lower than normal.

These works have been carefully scheduled to minimise impacts on our customers. Water users on the Campaspe River below Lake Eppalock and above the confluence with the Murray River have been advised to monitor their suctions closely. This is to ensure that no damage occurs to pumps during the works period and while water levels are returning to normal.

GMW will take the necessary actions to return the river to its pre-works levels as soon as possible after the works conclude. This may involve a river pulse flow for a short period of time to expedite the recovery process.
